About Myra Wilson

 Myra Wilson, Uptrend’s Lead Consultant for Accounting, focuses on supporting clients in the areas of accounting and bookkeeping, finance, procurement, processes, and general business office administration. Passionate about the organizational benefits of accurate and compliant accounting as well as consistent and well-understood policies and procedures, Myra works to understand current operations and recommends ways to strengthen practices.

Myra’s 30+ years of experience working with both non-profit and for-profit organizations in the medical, manufacturing, attractions, and service industries gives her a broad understanding of how solutions must be customized in order to work effectively for each unique business. 

Prior to joining Uptrend, Myra served as the Controller for ZooTampa at Lowry Park, a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; oversaw accounting for Mannington Mills, a privately owned for-profit company that provides wood flooring; and managed administration and accounting functions including procurement for Bibb Medical Center, a government owned non-profit organization that provides care for all ages. Working in these diverse environments gave Myra a special appreciation for process improvement and cross-functional collaboration. 

Myra holds a B.S. in Business with a specialization in Accounting. Myra has particular expertise with accounting software including Blackbaud’s Financial Edge and QuickBooks.
